APC Image: AK 1129Upper left: Corinthian skyphos. Buff clay, black glaze shifting gradually into brown at the bottom. The rim curves in slightly. Below the rim is a double purple line, and at the base is a ray pattern. On the reverse are three concentric circles, approximately equidistant. Upper centre: Oinohoe. It is painted black all over, except on the bottom of the base, and on the body are two horizontal lines in purple. The handle and part of the foil lip are missing. Upper right: Lower part of a black-figured amphora. Above the base is a ray pattern, and on either side of the body are panels of figures. In the centre on the better preserved side is a warrior to left with spear and circular shield, flanked by draped figures, one of which is holding a staff. The other side had a similar scene, but very little remains of the figures. A purple line encircles the vase beneath the panels. The surface has flaked off to such an extent that figures are almost obliterated. Bottom left: Pitcher. Buff clay, chocolate-brown glaze on neck and foot and a narrow band round the body. The vase was found intact at the bottom of the well. Bottom centre: Pitcher like the preceding. Bottom right: Pitcher, almost identical with the one on the left.
